So great to finally have AT40 The 70s back in the Seattle market. I listened to KMCQ this morning, and yes, they are playing the optional extras.
They still play the national commercials, of course, but no local ones that I could detect. Refreshing change, as the last two stations this aired on here would pack in as many commercials as possible, and when it aired on KJR-FM, the start time would vary wildly, as early as 7:52, as late as 8:10. It always drove me nuts!

The local joke is that someone just set their ipod on shuffle and hooked it up to a transmitter!

2CA - 1053 AM - Canberra Australia ------------------------------ Did this station discontinue streaming AT40? This is the 2nd straight Tuesday I have tuned in only not to get sound, which resumed last week right after AT40 was over. I would say yes if that's the case. The local country station here that has Country Top 40 has been doing this for years.

I send an email to 2CA's email box, I'll let you know should they respond. Bummer, if so.

Hi Art, we still broadcast AT 40 with Casey Kasem Sunday afternoons from 4.00 and Wednesday mornings from 2.00-5.00am (Oz time). Kind regards,Don Dawkins.
I sent a message back to him asking if maybe there's something wrong with the player, I tried it just now and can't connect.

Bad news! It loks like WBBG is no longer replaying AT40: The 70's on Tuesday nights. It's supposed to start playing now, but it's not.

That's weird - the DJ shown on the iheartradio player for WBBG right now is "Casey Kasem". However...it is "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac followed by "A Family Affair" by Sly and the Family Stone playing instead of the 10/31/70 show. Maybe they just didn't want to play a '70 show? Or maybe they botched the scheduling tonight--wouldn't be the first time. Who knows...

Ok, concerning 2CA and WBBG on Tuesdays - how about we monitor them next week, and if they don't play the shows again, then I will drop them from the list.
