Here's what I have over at the AT 40 - 80s stations thread for this station (maybe I should make the same notation on this thread as well): Ah, that explains your earlier statement. I rarely look at the 80s list since those shows aren't usually of interest to me. But I agree that the special notation would be well served in the 70's listings too. That way I won't be unexpectedly horrified when an 80's show begins when I was anticipating the 70's.

Just wanted to give everybody an update to the stations list: KMCQ 104.5 in Covington, Washington(the station moved a few years ago from The Dalles, Oregon to Covington to serve the Seattle area BTW) is picking up AT40 the 70s as of this upcoming Sunday. KMCQ is going to air the show from 9 AM Pacific Time to 12 PM Pacific Time, right before a show called Ted Alexander's 10,000 oldies show, which is going to air from 12 PM to around 3 PM I think. I found this info out both on KMCQ's website which is: www.americanpopradio.com/, as well as their twitter account: www.twitter.com/kmcqseattle. They do not stream as of yet, but from what their twitter account says they should be streaming soon Also, KMCQ doesn't play that many commercials, which should be interesting for a station that carries a show like this. Although I think a station in Ohio plays AT40 the 70s and apparently has no commercials, so it wouldn't be too weird I guess.

Now I have another question which requires just as much of an undertaking. Since many will be scrambling to find airings that aren't the Christmas shows over the holidays is it possible we report who is and isn't here as we do and that info be put in the opening thread?

Paul, I believe there is already a thread dedicated to this - called Christmas Pre-emptons.....

Please let me know if they are going to stream online - otherwise, I'll just list the station's info without any streaming link. Curious...what Ohio station plays AT 40 without commercials?

Paul, I believe there is already a thread dedicated to this - called Christmas Pre-emptons..... Yes, I know that thread is here. But what I am saying is include the info in the front thread of this one within the station listings stating something like "this station preempts the show for holiday programming in the month(s) of...." That thread so far as I can tell doesn't have a list perse. If the info was put here just regarding what stations preempt the show, then all the information pertaining to the stations schedule will all be here.

We really have no way of knowing that until Christmas weekend Day actually arrives, which is why the other thread exists. Many of us can only speculate as to which statuions will air the countdowns as usual, although it's a pretty safe bet that many AC stations which air either countdown on Saturdays or Sunday mornings won't do so. Hot AC & Adult Hits stations rarely go all Christmas, so I'd expect those stations which air the countdown on Sunday evenings (WQSR airs the 80s version at 8 PM EST) to air the countdown as usual. One easy search method would be to go to www.radio-locator.com, and then enter either the call letters or the city of the station on which you usually listen to the countdowns to find out what their format is. Or you can always e-mail the station's PD or MD and ask them! Good luck.

Personally, I really don't want to add any more info to our stations list - it already contains a LOT of information, and any more info (Xmas) would just get lost in there. It's the same as adding special programming during holidays (Labor Day, July 4th, Memorial Day, NY's Day, for example) - there should be a separate thread for instances like that. Plus, the Xmas programming is so inconsistent - some start early - some start closer to Xmas - it would really be a hassle to try and keep up with EVERY station's Xmas programming for 2 months, only to delete all of that information from the original list. Maybe you can start a NEW thread with this idea - I think that would be a real good thing to do, and know that others would appreciate it. I do know that people will add to the "Christmas Preemptions" thread as soon as they find out which stations are/aren't playing AT 40 that particular week/weekend.

Hi all, I just learned of a new station airing AT40-The 70's in the Seattle area starting this weekend. KJR-FM dropped the show a few months ago. KMCQ-FM 104.5 Sundays Noon-3PM, EST I don't know yet if they play the optional extras. No internet stream, but their website promises it's coming soon: www.americanpopradio.com/Interesting side note - This station plays NO commercials. It's been a bit of a local mystery for going on 3 years now.

Thanks and welcome to the board. You are the 500th member!! If that station is indeed commercial free, then there are 2 commercial free airings at noon ET on Sunday with WOGL being the other.
