I was just reading the post by vto66 and I couldn't agree more. First let me say I am thankful that XM has brought AT40 back, and I enjoy listening. However, I would like to hear more shows from the early and mid 70's. Alfred, you can correct me if I'm wrong, but so far since AT40 returned, there have been 12 shows from 78 and 79. there have only been 11 shows from 70 through 77 combined. Here's the exact breakdown on 70's channel; 1970-3 1971-2 1972-1 1973-2 1974-1 1975-1 1976-0 1977-1 1978-5 (or 4 if you count the top 100 of 78 as 1 show) 1979-7 I don't have the 80's list, but they have aired lots of 1980 and 82 shows and not much from 81, 84 and 87. I hope XM will make an effort to mix it up a bit and give us a little more variety.

Thanks Alfred, I missed the 4/24/71 show. Anyway this just illustrates my point. We need more shows from the early and mid 70's.

Actually, 10/4/86 was repeated... but that's the only one. Well, until next Sunday, when they re-air 2/25/84. I would just like some more 1984 and 1985 shows. Those were among the best years of the 80's for AT40, and it's a shame they haven't done that many yet.

:)I checked the XM fans site yesterday, and it APPEARS that our hopes for more variety in the AT40 replays may be fulfilled. They have scheduled a countdown from October 14, 1972 for this coming October 14 (they must have somehow got wind of my suggestion for a 1972 AT40 show!!) and two weeks from then will be (we hope we hope we hope!!) that October 31, 1970 show that was originally slated for September 30. They will be squeezing a couple more '78 (October 7, the first four-hour show), and '79 (November 3, slated for October 21) shows in between, but it's good to see XM digging up a few more of those pre-Shuckatoom AT40 episodes, and I am looking forward to hearing these and more in the future. Now let's all cross our fi ngers and hope XM sticks by its schedule this time!!!

I hate to complain, but it looks like XM 70s is airing back to back shows. This week, it was 2/24/79. Next week, according to their web site, it will be 3/3/79. Come on XM, we need more variety. We've had very few shows from 73, 74, or 77. So far this year, we've had 2 shows from 72, 2 from 75 (back to back weeks), and now 2 from 79, again back to back weeks. You can do better XM! How about mixing it up a little bit?

[usual caveat about being grateful for XM airing the shows. . .] In deciding which shows to prep for XM broadcast, I can't imagine the logic of doing back-to-back shows. Even if the pool of usable masters is small, it's hard to believe that it's THAT small.
