Any AT40 fans out there from the San Francisco Bay Area? I'd like as complete a rundown as possible of "American Top 40"'s broadcast history in my home base of San Francisco-San Jose. I know that when I started listening to AT40 in June 1980, the local affiliate was KYA, and they had been carrying the show at least since 1979 (I heard KYA mentioned as one of AT40's "great radio stations" during an XM rebroadcast of a May 1979 AT40 show). I also followed the show to KCBS (now Radio Alice), then K101 (now Star 101.3) and then to KITS (now Live 105). I believe KITS dropped AT40 a year before Casey left the show, and either they or K101 picked the show back up briefly a couple of years into Shadoe's run. If possible, I'd like to know if any SF stations ran AT40 before KYA, and how long AT40 ran on the various SF stations.
