(That 7/30/1988 week for AT40 was where Hall and Oates guest hosted for Casey, of course).

The caption says July 16, 1988 but this sounds more like October 1988.

Mixcloud has Rick Dees Weekly Top 40s from 1984-01-14, 1984-01-21, 1984-01-28, 1984-02-18, 1984-03-03, 1984-03-24....and so on up to 11-10-1984, and also he gives a shoutout to Radio & Records on the first countdown he moves on from Cashbox to R&R. So on 11-10-1984 or 11-17-1984 Rick Dees switched from Cashbox to R&R? Too bad like Casey Kasem missed out with the Billboard source and must make the Hot 100 if released as a single rule (unlike R&R and Gavin Report which uses airplay sources and used songs not released as singles in occassion), Rick Dees never played the Jermaine Jackson/Michael Jackson duet "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" even with the Cash Box source. Hmm interesting. But Rick used Cashbox for the year end survey of 1984, dispite switching to R&R? I guess cuz the majority of the year Cashbox was used. he mentioned several times during that year end survey, "according to Cashbox magazine". The #1 song on Ricks year end of '84 was Prince, while R&R had Van Halen. Either 1 of those #1's is much better than what AT40 had as #1 for '84.

I am pretty certain Dees used Cashbox the entirety of 1984. I could've sworn that "Union Of The Snake" was #1 on the last Dees regular show of 1984 (12/22.84). It never went to #1 on R and R
