The sound quality was significantly improved to the 2000-2003 shows they've been airing. And 2009 era Dees is much more enjoyable than 2000-2003 era Dees. And KKMK treated us to songs 40-2 from 2009!

A bit of tragic irony on the 1994 show: Rick Dees said that Malaysia Airlines was one of the safest in the world. Sadly, in 2014, they would have two major crashes, killing hundreds.

Same with American Airlines. A few months after 9/11, there was another huge crash in New York. I'm surprised that Hawaiian wasn't on the list. They've been around since the 1920s and haven't had a single fatality.

A bit of irony in hour one of the 1989 show. NKOTB “I’ll Be Loving You” was featured in this weeks 2001 show for being the number one song this week in 1989. Now we get to hear the song in full on this show (not at number one though). Also, awhile back, if you recall the show went to an October 1989 show for the first two segments of Hour 4. They have brought back the original segments belonging to this May show. It’s not the greatest quality though but l’ll take it.

Wow, another 1990 show! We are getting our fair share of them this year after years of not. The staff must read these threads and you ask and you shall receive.

Yet at the same time, there's a 6/4/88 trifecta, with countdowns from Rick, Casey, and the ex-MTV VJ's all this weekend. And in Rick's case it was IIRC one of the chosen ones that were replayed like clockwork every year for a while.
