Pointless aside: I'm watching a DVD of the opera "Rigoletto" and when they get to singing "La donna e mobile", into my head came the "Rick Dees is on the air/He is beyond compare..." opening theme song. At least now I know where that melody comes from. I actually heard that melody in a college music class in 1994, right around the time Rick started using it (though I wasn't listening to his show during that era.)

80s now updated: Feb 20, 1988 ...And we get the same week from Casey this weekend.
At least the 90s show is worth checking out. 1990 shows are so rarely featured on the app.

Edit: It is actually 02/22/2003, not 02/23.

Interesting - fresh (or else otherwise not played that recently) shows for a change.

Has anyone listened to the 1990 show? Yes it was real good. Sadly though, at least two artists on the chart committed suicide: Tommy Page and Rob Pilatus.

Has anyone listened to the 1990 show? Yes and it was so good I listened to it a couple of times. Heard songs from Natalie Cole, Whitesnake, Kevin Paige, Belinda Carlisle, and Michael Penn to name a few whose songs in the countdown I haven’t heard in years.

March 2, 1985 is one of those rare weeks when none of the songs were holding.
