I have a question regarding this weeks 1992 show... At the very beginning and very end of show he used the newer jingles that we hear today. Were these edited in or was the original show like that? I happen to have a copy of the original 12/21/1991 show, which does have what I call the "1992 jingles" in a couple of segments. I have a recorded copy of the 2/15/1992 show from rick.com (from 2015, I think), which has all the original jingles as far as I can tell, with the imaging prevalent on the 1990-1991 shows slowly being phased out. Not hearing today's version of the show, it's hard for me to comment. However, I have many of the HAC shows from 2014-2017, and those "1992 jingles" are heard quite a bit in those. As some would say, lazy production.

Well this is interesting, for second time in a row this year, these retros are not from last year trend. These were last aired in 2014.

So I have last year's shows listed for the D2k series in order after this weeks shows (if they do indeed repeat last year's airings). I will not be a spoiler so if you wanna know what's next week, please message me. Thanks.

I hope they will not repeat the same last year trend, D2K could be so boring and some years, as 2003-2004-2005-2006, etc are D2K and they are avoided.

I don’t know why I never noticed this before, maybe I didn’t care enough then (and I don’t know why I care now but anyways..) in the 1985 show and before the number one song Rick had this bit where he has a fake Walter Cronkite mention former US President Ronald Reagan and says he’s 71. Unless my math is screwed up Reagan would’ve been 74 in 1985. It’s a minor thing I know but still that’s such a simple thing, I guess no one on Rick’s staff could do basic math.

it seems now d2K show are now going to year to year repeat, I wouldn't mind a little, since I haven't listened much of 2000s show though.

On the CHR version of Dees this week, and I believe 24 years to the week of his first song, "Loser" debuting on the Weekly Top 40, Beck's second song to hit Dees debuts at 37 with "Up All Night". This absolutely obliterates the record for length of time between an artist's first top 40 hit and second top 40 hit on Dees. Beck doubles up Enya and Daft Punk, who I believed both were somewhere near 12 years between their first two songs hitting the top 40. Their is a "but"...I'm not sure if "Where It's At" hit the Weekly Top 40 in 1996. It only made it to 46 on Radio and Records, but Dees had an urban based CHR in 1996 that maybe let it eek in. I don't believe it did, however.
The artist who is at number 38 this week, Charlie Puth, was 2 the last time Beck hit the Top 40.
If I remember correctly, Murray Head holds the record on AT 40 with 14 years between "Superstar" and "One Night in Bangkok".
Will we see Murray's record get obliterated on AT 40? If it does, it will be down the road. While "Night" is on the "HAC" version of AT 40, it is currently not in the top 50 on Mediabase. Still, congrats to Beck for a unique record on Dees.
