Push it by Salt and Pepa was skipped almost every week , only played when it was a sure shot. Push it was a 1988 hit. I know "Shoop" was skipped all the way on its way up to the chart (usually played as a clip), but by the time it was deep into the top 10, Rick HAD to play it so he did.

On an unrelated note, this week marks the first time in months where Rick's two current shows do not have identical lists of debuts. Two songs debut on both shows, while two additional songs debut on the CHR chart. I'm betting it won't last...

I also don't show any weeks when Rick skipped "Push It". I think it debuted on 01/16/88 and its final week was 02/27/88.
I went through my records looking for songs that Rick had skipped at least twice. This list is certainly not all-inclusive because there are several shows that I have never heard.
Arrested Development - "People Everyday" 10/17/92, 10/31/92 Marky Mark - "You Gotta Believe" 10/17/92, 10/31/92 Bad Company - "How About That" 10/17/92, 10/31/92 Dr Dre/Snoop Dogg - "Nuthin But a G Thang" 02/27/93, 04/17/93, 04/24/93, 05/15/93 Naughty by Nature - "Hip Hop Hooray" 04/17/93, 05/15/93 Dr Dre/Snoop Dogg - "Dre Day" 07/03/93, 07/31/93 Tag Team - "Whoomp There It Is" 07/03/93, 07/31/93 Snoop Dogg - "What's My Name" 12/18/93, 01/08/94 Ace of Base - The Sign" 06/04/94, 07/23/94 Snoop Dogg - "Gin & Juice" 03/05/94, 03/26/94, 04/23/94 Warren G/Nate Dogg - "Regulate" 04/23/94, 06/18/94 Crystal Waters - "100% Pure Love" 01/21/95, 03/11/95 Blessid Union of Souls - "I Wanna Be There" 08/16/97, 10/04/97

But this week CHR has one debut, as last week's sureshot didn't chart for a reason. I have yet to know what HAC chart is.. Also I don't recall that Push It has been skipped. The skipping music starts in mid 1991, and most occurred in 1992. sometimes played snippet in '93 and '94 maybe..

There were a few weeks that Rick played a drop piece of them ("Whoomp! There It Is" and "Regulate" come to mind), but most of them were never played in full, so he could work in "special requests" like "Gonna Make You Sweat" and "Vogue" and other overplayed crap, as if we weren't going to hear them within an hour of the show anyway.

Bad Company, Ace of Base, Crystal Waters? None of them are rap. Why the he** is he skipping those?! But I see my original premise that he made it through the 80s before skipping anything is right. And to prove it, the sure shot on the 1989 show that is the 80s show this week was by Tone Loc.

I can see why he skipped Ace Of Base and Crystal Waters, as those songs were overplayed (especially "The Sign"), but why in the world would he skip Bad Company? That song only got as high as #19 and lasted nine weeks on the chart. No reason to skip that one, unless there was some sort of feud between them.

My guess is that he skipped Ace of Base twice because it was on the chart forever (at least 2/05/94 to 8/06/94). The other two I'm not sure about.

I was pointing out that for many months, the same exact songs have been debuting on both the CHR and HAC charts each week. However, the weekend of February 25, there were two songs that debuted on CHR that were not on HAC. One of those two songs debuted on HAC the weekend of March 4th. Regarding last week's sure shot, it was a song that had already peaked on the actual Mediabase chart. Further proof that Rick's staff doesn't put much effort in compiling the charts.

This week: CHR finally debuts Play That Song (which had been HAC for many months ago: though current trend is same debuts in both formats). This time Sabrina Carpenter - Thumbs does not debut in HAC yet..
Anyways its not just the AC Top 20 have been in sloppy edit, but HAC and CHR WT40 is doing as well, as some few outros are cut out when Dees is explaining some few story and jingle immediately plays... So much for content

Bad news if you listened to WT40 or AT40 on KZOY (Sunny radio). It looks like the station is no longer available on TuneIn. I went to their Facebook page and it looks like yes, it won't be available as the streaming costs are too high. Which sucks because they air both "a" and "b" shows of AT40. That's a real bummer because I've been listening to both shows on that station since 2013. Oh well.

That's a real bummer because I've been listening to both shows on that station since 2013. Oh well. KZOY quote when I saw on website: "DUE TO THE HIGH COSTS OF STREAMING, WE HAVE STOPPED OFFERING OUR RADIO STATION TO AIR ONLINE AT THIS TIME. We are working to resolve this matter. Until that time you are welcome to listen to Sunny on the radio in Sioux Falls, SD on 93.3fm or am 1520.... & in Sioux City, IA on 97.1fm or am 1250. SORRY TO GO... BUT THE FEES ARE JUST RIDICULOUSLY HIGH." I'm not 100% sure if it stays permanent. I thought quote clearly states that they are working to resolve issue. Maybe it could take months to fix or so.. It wouldn't be surprising if KZOY stream discontinue online. Unless you live in Sioux Falls.. So we won't know if any program changes especially WT40.. It wouldn't surprising if station drops WT40, but it's my opinion
