Two weeks ago,it was announced that the following performers will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in March 2010:reggae singer Jimmy Cliff,ABBA,Genesis,The Hollies,& The Stooges featuring Iggy Pop-Congratulations one & all!

Thanks for mentioning this, jukebox. I have a couple of things to say as well. The Stooges finally get in after 8 tries. Genesis gets in after the HOF committee ignored them for many years. The surprise induction was for ABBA, but I think they deserve to be in. I don't agree with the inductions of the Hollies & Jimmy Cliff. I'm shocked that the Red Hot Chili Peppers didn't get in on the first ballot. I think they'll get in next year. I know the committee's trying to get the '50s & '60s artists in, so I think the Chantels or Darlene Love should've gotten in over Jimmy Cliff or the Hollies.
Also, jukebox forgot to mention the inductees in the Non-Performer category. They are songwriters Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil, Ellie Greenwich & Jeff Barry, Jesse Stone, Mort Shuman, Otis Blackwell, & record executive David Geffen.

I'm sorry I overlooked the inductees in the non-performer category-I'm glad to see that Barry Mann,Cynthia Weil,Ellie Greenwich,& Jeff Barry are finally getting their due-Ellie Greenwich passed away in the summer of 2009.
