Merry Christmas to everyone on here. Does anyone have copies of the yearend shows from 1989-1991 they would trade? I would also like any yearends from 1970-1977. Thanks,John

I don't have copies, sorry. But something interesting that I noticed this week is that Casey's countdown of the Top 50 hits of 1982 didn't match the Billboard's year-end charts. He (or AT40) compiled their own Top 100 hits based on only the songs that hit the AT40. I know that in later years, AT40 began to use Billboard's top 100 hits....

I was listening to the 1985 top 100 today and one thing odd about it are all the repeated songs from 1984 on it. There are 7 total repeats like All Through the Night,Strut, and Penny Lover. Most other year end shows have all different songs on them. The 1986 show doesnt have any songs from the 85 year end on it. John

1985 was the year AT40 went back to using Billboard’s year end survey after doing their own for the past five years. AT40 estimated the positions of 7 songs that peaked late in 1984 to include them in their year end survey that year. Billboard held those songs over to their 1985 year end chart.
