I;m close to boycotting the whole service by cancelling it and selling it.

Just fired off an angry e-mail to the 80's Channel. I don't expect a response. I know Shannon wanted us to be nice, but I don't feel like being nice right now.

At about 4pm Central Time tonite, two of the DJs on 80s on 8 (Kandy and the evening guy), spoke some about the failure to get AT40 on last night. They mentioned two reasons: 1)Computer malfunction, 2) the show was not loaded on the computer in the first place and, in a joking manner, razzed Rick Stacy for this. They made a point that the show would be broadcast as scheduled in the upcoming weeks. (Wed nite at 10PM eastern, 7p on the west) and Sun 10 am Eastern).
Whether this was simply a response to the emails blasting them(I sent 2 myself) or really was a computer problem, I don't know. However, we probably should cut them a little bit of slack-rountines are hard to change and the computer may have been programmed a few weeks in advance-I don't know. The simple fact that they did announce the problem shows that they are moving in the right direction.
Now, if they don't tell the truth in the future, that will show that they are just trying to put us off and they will deserve what they get.
In any case, the 70s did keep their word and maybe the 80s will as well. We can only hope that they do. I am going to give them the chance to do so and if they do, they'll be good in my eyes but if they don't, then I will cease to trust them.

Thanks for the info John.
So, just to clarify... the 70s will be Saturday at noon and the 80s will be Sunday at 10. Is that correct?

John One small problem, it is supposed to air on Thursdays at 10, not Wednesday's at 10.

So how come it's not on next Thursday's schedule on their website? Must be a "computer malfunction".

Just got an e-mail from xm......their on-air schedule for next week...which does not list AT40 on the 80's Channel for Thursday night.

I might be a little bias but XM always seems sloppy in everything that I've read that they do. You would think by now they would be very familiar with their automation setup since there is hardly ever anyone live on the channels.
