Couple of questions: (1) Did anyone figure out when Casey began using the classic drumroll to introduce the #1 song? I noticed they had it in the 1979 show but not in the 1977 show. I was wondering when they started using it.
(2) Does anyone know where I can find that drumroll. I have found several different types of drumrolls, but not the one used by Casey.
Thank!

I think that the earliest that AT40 played that Number One Drumroll was back in December 1970. I really get a kick out of Number One Drumroll, when Casey would say, "Now before we hear the one most popular song in America this week, let see what is No. 1 on the other charts". Then after he would mention the other No. 1 songs, then the drumroll would play. That would be my favorite 30 seconds of the show.

(2) I am sure I had it somewhere on cassette tape, the whole drumroll... Did you try to "google" for it?
