Maybe somebody in the know or someone who recorded a bunch of the marathon can help me out with this question... the guy doing the "You've just heard a time capsule" voiceovers between countdowns...the voice was oddly familiar, but I couldn't quite place it...kept listening closer and closer each time trying to figure out who it was...and I swear, I think it's... Townsend Coleman, host of the most well-known fake AT40 broadcast ever (July 1979, the week of the Disco Countdown). If anybody knows for sure, or if you recorded a bunch of the marathon, listen in and let me know what you think. If it is true, that would be a weird footnote to a very special weekend.

Definitely wasn't Charlie Van Dyke, unless his voice has changed completely in the past few years.
The voice almost had an Adam West vibe about it, but not quite.
