Funny--that means for the second week in a row, SXM will have played the show from the same year, but one week prior to Premiere's airing. I'll admit that I've reached the point where I have next to no interest in tuning in to SXM's presentation of the AT40 shows...

I'll admit that I've reached the point where I have next to no interest in tuning in to SXM's presentation of the AT40 shows... It works out conveinently for me; I'll be on vacation in Europe next week, so I can hear most of the same songs now and don't feel the need to try and listen to the show while away (which might mean listening at odd hours or running down the iPhone battery when I have umpteen other needs for it.)

Which date is airing this weekend? It's February 24, 1973. As I write this, he's already into the top 20. There will be a "new" #1. It reaches the top spot in only its fifth week on the Hot 100. I won't spoil it (if I haven't already).

I know the time change from Standard to Daylight always messes things up for people. (I'm all for the bill that's working its way through the California legislature that would get rid of it here.) But come on now, SiriusXM! You started the Sunday night run of the Casey show at 11:00 PDT, 2:00 EDT -- two hours late! I just got off the 70s on 7 Facebook page, where about 5 people left comments. Probably the only ones listening at such an ungodly hour. One threatened to cancel his subscription. Like that'll do any good.

^Daylight saving time really isn't an excuse anymore either--so many clocks these days are automated and/or sync to an internet time server (PCs and cell phones all now fall into this category), so they set themselves automatically. Heck, even the timer feature on Audacity adjusts automatically once you tell it what time to start recording.
This was more than likely a programming error by SXM, or somebody just asleep at the switch...
