I just checked the XM schedule for this week (10/9 through 10/15) and I noticed that the 80s channel has scheduled an AT40 show from October 4, 1986 for this coming Thursday (??) I vividly recall XM running this same show just last month on September 14, and I also remember hearing part of it during their AT40 marathon in August. That's three times for the same AT40 show!! This development disturbs me a bit, because it makes me think that XM only has a limited number of AT40 shows to air. I can only hope that XM doesn't plan to make a habit of running the same shows from the same years every few weeks or so, and that they try to offer more variety in their scheduling of the AT40 shows. I'd personally like to put in a request for more 1972, 1977 and even a few 1976 shows on the 70s channel, and more early-80s shows (I'd be particularly interested in hearing the January 19, 1980 AT40 show) on the 80s channel. I don't know why XM is actually planning to play that 10/4/86 show again, or if some kind of mistake was made in scheduling. I would, however, like a little more variety in the AT40 shows on XM.

I guess airing four shows a week demands larger pool than what XM is currently having...
Which makes me wonder:
How large pool of shows does XM actually have?
Or is remastering process taking longer time, and the schedule of four shows per week is a bit too demanding?
And maybe there are other rules to be taken in concern...

It would seem XM aggrees w/ you. As they have decided to NOT run the show, or any show tonight. Another computer error? Someone in the 80s office does not pay attention to detail.

AT40 was on 70's tonight, they repeated the 10/7/78 show.

Ohhhh, DOH! well that explains it  I guess i wanted thursday to be here so badly, since I hafta work thru saturday. Tonights show was played twice allready so....I guess I already have 2 copies of it. |

The 80's channel needs to stop cutting the show short at the end. It's driving me CRAZY!

Looks like this week's shows are both sticking to this particular week  Since they will be doing both the 1985 (on Thursday) and 1982 (on Sunday) shows from this time in October. |

I don't know if you guys caught this, but on Sunday's airing of AT40 (10/24/81), Casey told a story about the 1968 World series.
That series featured the Tigers and the Cardinals. The same as this years.

This weeks XM 80's on 8 schedule uses an element of surprise: It only states airing AT40 on Thursday and Sunday - although no info on which show will be aired. Are we perhaps having another possible "no-show"...  Hope not. |

I saw that too, and I hope that doesn't mean that AT40's days on XM are numbered, because I truly do enjoy hearing those old shows again Personally, I'm pulling for an early 1980 show, or at least another 1981 show, even one from 1983, but let's hope XM 80s DOES air AT40 this Thursday and Sunday!! I also noticed that on the 70s channel, they pulled the October 31, 1970 AT40 show again!! It was supposed to air this Saturday October 28, but they've scheduled one from October 30, 1971 instead. We can only hope and pray that XM keeps AT40 around for a while longer |

Yup, Caseys last show form 8/6. This I believe was played in the marathon back in august.
