Purely by chance, this show has Livvy peaking at #3 with "Please Mr. Please".

Looks like August 21, 1971 is on tap for this weekend.

Wheel of [not actually] Casey this week: February 7, 1976. Guest hosted by Jerry Bishop. I really hate that they don’t repeat these later at some point. 99% of the time they are shows that have aired a zillion times, then every one e in a great while you get a rare show. But unless you are able to tune in at that time, you are out of luck at getting to hear it. Arrrggghh!

Wheel of [not actually] Casey this week: February 7, 1976. Guest hosted by Jerry Bishop. Just adding my comment--I guess a guest hosted show is allowed on The Wheel? I assumed that all shows had to have Casey Kasem as the host.

I assumed that all shows had to have Casey Kasem as the host. As has been noted before, it seems that SXM has no clue of the show's content when they receive it from whomever supplies it [Premiere??]. The DJ making the announcement after the "wheel is spun" likely just reads from a boilerplate script because on last night's intro, as he has done many times before, he said "Casey Kasem will be bringing the hits from the week of February 7, 1976." (or words to that effect . . . but he said CASEY KASEM even though that show is guest-hosted). The only portion of the intro he alters is the show's date.

Translation, JJ Walker is too lazy to look up details about the show himself, leaving that up to the interns feeding him the info who don't know Casey from Donald Duck.

Of course you resort to insulting people. They probably use the same script template every week with just the date changed. Also at least they had the guest host's name in the display instead of saying it's just Casey Kasem.

I'm guessing that Berry Gordy had to be extremely concerned/unhappy when "Maybe Tomorrow" stalled out at #20 on this week's show, after four #1s followed by two #2s. He probably thought "OK, time to push the kid on his own. He's the 'star', anyway".

Wheel of Casey (which started at least five minutes too early): September 6, 1975.
This could plausibly be a Premiere offering in the next couple of weeks, as they haven't played 1975 since June.

This one's close enough to the current week--only one week off--that I'll listen to it! Juggling this with the '71 show on WSQL, which is almost over. When I hit 'Restart show' on the Sirius-XM site, it starts right at the end of #39. Due to the show's early start, I'm sure. So no B.T. Express or Cat Stevens. Oh, well.

Whoa! Huge jump in volume beginning at the 'number 13' jingle! Probably where hour 3 began on the original show.
