Just curious if anyone recalls if AT40 ever did a story about the line "I've seen it raining fire in the sky" from the John Denver song "Rocky Mountain High". I remember seeing one of J.D.'s television specials in which he said the line was inspired by a time he saw the Perseiad Meteor Shower. I pose this now because the Perseiad will be occouring in the coming days. Astronomy is a hobby of mine. (Yes, I do have a life outside of this message board ;D) Unfortunately, the nights will not be moonless, as it was that time for John.

Interesting. On a semi-related note, John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads", was co-written with Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert (later of the Starland Vocal Band), who were inspired to write it after driving on Route 117 in Maryland--the same road on which I now live (though where I live it isn't a country road but a suburban avenue). They and Denver later changed the song to refer to West Virginia.
