WOR-AM/New York Ups Buckley to DOS, Lakefield PD

Jennifer Buckley is elevated to VP/Director of Sales at WOR-AM/New York. An 8-year station vet, she most recently served as Director of Sales. Concurrently, Scott Lakefield is upped to Program Director. He's been with the News/Talk outlet since 1995, rising to Assistant PD in 2002.

One question to ask to you Scott, Have you heard any complanits from listeners about some of the programming on the network including Lou Dobbs?

When my parents lived in Connecticut,they were avid WOR listeners-They enjoyed listening to "Rambling With Gambling" with John Gambling Sr-His son,John Gambling Jr,was let go in 2000,but was rehired in 2008-Scott,you're fortunate to work at a station that is rather legendary.

I'd like to add my congratulations as well.

If I recall correctly, I began corresponding with Scott (unfortunately we've never met) while he was a Rutgers University student, around the time when he was interning at WOR. Regarding his radio career, I've found Scott to be knowledgable, talented (he's got a great radio voice!), and eager to learn -- three components necessary for success. He's paid his dues and earned that promotion.
