I think the webmaster made a mistake. If the American Top 40 shows are starting at 9AM on Saturday, then this sentence doesn't make sense: "This Saturday's 6-9am countdown on Magic 98 marks his last new "American Top 10" show."
I think they meant to say "This Saturday's 6-9pm countdown on Magic 98 marks his last new "American Top 10" show."

So they played the last American Top 10 show at 6 AM, and now they are playing the American Top 40 for 09/02/1972 when 'Alone Again (Naturally) returns to #1

^So that was the "most unsual situation" that Casey mentioned at the beginning of the show.
Now, they're playing the show from September 18, 1976.

And now, they're playing the show from October 29, 1977.
The song currently playing is "I Go Crazy" by Paul Davis. Little did anyone know what a tenacious hit that would become!
They said there would be two shows from 1977 featured. I wonder if the other one, which would be next in line, will be the "Girls Of Rock & Roll" special?
EDIT: The DJ just said that the "Girls Of Rock & Roll Special" is the show they're doing next. They played "Chuck E's In Love" by Rickie Lee Jones as the last song before the show started (the October 1977 show ended about twenty minutes before the top of the hour, so they ran regular programming until then.)
