According to the quotes by Eric Weiss, this was a mutual decision made by Casey and Premiere. Makes me feel a little better that Casey wasn't simply pushed out.

It also looks like we haven't necessarily heard the last of Casey's voice. I would love to be watching TV in a few months and hear some voiceover work from him again.
