Any thoughts on what the final "AT10" will be?-I'm thinking it'll be a special countdown.

I think it should be a special on on the history of At40 and Casey Kasem.
and it should have stories on how the show got started, what was the inspiration on the LDD. the story of the Dead Dog Dedication, etc. and it should feature audio clips throughout the show's 39 years on the air.

That would be great-It'd be interesting to hear Casey & co-creator Don Bustany talk about the origin of "AT40".

I'd like to see Premiere have the last show be available to anyone on this forum via their FTP site a user/special password. or links off their main page.
Westwood One did this a few years ago with some of their shows after the passing of George Harrison, and while I will nowhere compare the two events, and wish Casey well in his retirement, This is still a significant event in the history of Commerical Radio in the US and worldwide. I'd hate to have to fight to pull in an internet stream to hear this.
This is not a "pass the torch" thing that was done with seacrest. I can understand why it was downplayed. The kids are there for the music. A polite acknowledgement and move on. This is the production shutdown of the show. Let's hope it's celebrated properly.
Anyone who has spent time in the industry anywhere in the world likely has heard his name, if not actually hearing the show. He's a pop culture icon. let the fans celebrate with someone they can listen to again and again on their ipods.

Personally,
I think it will go out like the other times Casey left. All he will do count them down and that is that. A special tribute would be nice, but I just don't see it happening.

As long as I know there's gonna be a regular weekly countdown but it may have some interesting features. And the same for AT20.

This is truly the end of an era-I compare this to Johnny Carson stepping down from "The Tonight Show" in 1992.

Not sure about CFGX but the last time I tried KQIS, AT10 was not on during the listed time on Saturday night.

There's a station in Orlando,FL that was carrying "AT10" on Saturday nights between 6-9 PM,Eastern Time-All you need to do is go to Radio-Locator & google in Orlando,FL-The station is actually listed as being in Mount Dora,FL-That should help.

Magic 107.7 in Orlando has pre-empted the final AT10 for a live remote broadcast at a local fireworks show.

The LDD was a special one, from a listener to Casey. And the song he requested was a song that, for a few years in the early 80s, was a popular LDD song ("Thank You For Being A Friend" by Andrew Gold").
When Casey was going over a retrospect of AT40 near the end of the show, I swore I heard his voice cracking, as if he were struggling to keep his emotions in check.
