I've got a question I'm hoping someone out there can answer:
I have a memory of Casey telling a story about Exile's "Kiss You All Over" that I can't find in Pete Battistini's excellent book. (I have found all the other stories have remembered from my weekends glued to the radio there, though.)
In this story, Casey tells that a class of college engineering students, I believe they attended MIT, RPI or a similar type of university, deciding to figure out how long it would take to ... kiss a woman all over.
If I recall correctly, the students figured out the total surface area in square inches of an average-sized woman, and figured a pucker would take in a square inch, and they figured out that you would average so many seconds between kisses and they came up with a time it would take to finish the task. (Don't remember the time.)
Do any of you have knowledge of this story, and if so, could you let me know in which show it might have appeared?
"Kiss You All Over"s chart run on the Billboard top 40 lasted from August 5, 1978, through November 25, 1978. That story, if it were told, would have to be on one of those shows, I'd think.
Thanks for your help in advance.

I can't hear that song anymore without thinking about "Happy Gilmore".

I've been listening to every AT40 chronologically for the past nine months or so (beginning with January 1978, currently up to 1984), and I can't say that I remember hearing any story like that one. Is it possible that "Kiss You All Over" was played as an extra on CT20/AT20 or AT10 with that story told?

Well, it's possible that story appeared on one of those shows, but I didn't hear it because I've only listened to a couple of those. I'm not positive it was on AT40, but it sure sounds like a story Casey would have told. And I'm relatively certain it was told while the Exile hit was current, rather than as an extra or oldie. I was hoping that folks who had those shows could check the intros to "Kiss You All Over" for the weeks it appeared on the top 40.
