I do not have an iPod but I do have a Sony Walkman MP3 player. The way mine works is that you simply put music files from your computer into the device. Therefore, you simply rip a show into your hard drive and then transfer the segments into your device, just regular songs.
I know on my recent 3 week trip to Canada several old Casey shows accompanied me for those day long train rides.
