Anybody familiar with the station OZ-FM? They used to air AT20 on Sunday nights, which was occasionally useful to me if I had to miss the show on Sunday mornings. However, last Sunday night they were not airing it. Anybody know if this is a permanent change? I don't think any other stations air the show online during that time slot.

OZ FM did air AT20 on Sunday Night on 5/3/09. It normally airs from 8:25 pm to 11:05 pm Eastern Time Sunday evenings. On 5/3/09 it aired from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm Eastern Time. However, they had a problem with the starting of the third hour of AT20. Around 9:30 pm EST there was a few minutes of dead air, then just regular music played. By around 10:00 pm EST, AT20 was back on OZ FM.
We will know soon, if OZ FM starts AT20 at 7:30 pm EST Sunday night on 5/10.
The only other AT20 Sunday night airing to my knowledge is KEYW that starts at 11 pm EST.

I usually record the Saturday morning version--which is at 2:30am Pacific time, which is followed by AT40 at 5:30am Pacific. When I was listening this morning, they had a promo for AT20 noting it was on at 7am Saturdays and 10pm Sundays. Since they are in a time zone that is 4.5 hours ahead of Pacific Time, it would seem that they are still on the same schedule. PS-Other than parts of India, I've never heard of another time zone in the world that is 30 minutes instead of an hour ahead.

OZ FM aired AT20 at its normal time on 5/10, 8:25 pm to 11:10 pm Eastern Time. It was scary to hear snow in the weather forecast during the breaks on AT20. Even for that part of Canada, it rare for them to have snow that late in the season.

PS-Other than parts of India, I've never heard of another time zone in the world that is 30 minutes instead of an hour ahead. Welcome to Canada, specifically Newfoundland time. It's got it's own time zone in north america because of it's position as the eastern most canadian province, and the most eastern point in north america. Newfoundland is actually 90 mins ahead of eastern time, the time zone in between is atlantic, which I am in. I remember last year going across the border from new brunswick into the US to maine and all of a sudden the time was 1 hour behind...the US side is eastern, the new brunswick side in atlantic... We canadians can confuse you guys....EH? LOL!

Here in nova scotia, it's been a hard winter, but it's far from unusual to get snow this late in the season. It's been known to snow with a few Cm's down around this time, but not this year, spring is finally here. It's been a hard winter, I believe something like 18 storms have hit us here in Halifax...we are pretty sick of the stuff and am happy to see spring. Newfoundland I believe had similar conditions this winter. It wasn't easy.

I wished OZ FM would pick up AT40 the 80s. However, they changed formats so many times after AT20 went off the air after 2009, I doubt they will ever air Casey again.
Did AT40 air on OZ FM in the 70s or 80s orignally? I know from 1998 to 2004 they aired Casey's AT40 on Saturday and Sunday morning. They referred AT40 as a weekend tradition.

I am also from Newfoundland. And yes, OZ-FM did air AT40's original run back in the 80s right to the end of the run in 1995. I first "discovered" AT40 in July 1982 as I do remember hearing part of a show while traveling on the Trans-Canada Highway during that time. I do remember hearing "Abracadabra" and "Don't You Want Me" as I was a few kilometers away from arriving in Grand Falls-Windsor possibly for lunch (I was on my way to the Deer Lake area for a holiday at that time). If any local radio station is interested in AT40's retro rebroadcasts, I'd say Coast 101.1 FM in St. John's would have a better chance than OZ-FM would, seeing that OZ-FM plays nothing but crappy 21st century music and nothing older anymore. And Ryan's AT40 currently airs on 99.1 HITS-FM (CKIX). But either way, OZ-FM is not worth my listening to anymore. I have an idea: Why don't you send in a request to Coast-FM to see if they can pick up the rights to air AT40: The 70s and 80's in the future? The fans of older music would be thrilled to hear the music they grew up with during that era and at least they would get to hear Casey's voice in some form again. Around 9:30 pm EST there was a few minutes of dead air, then just regular music played. By around 10:00 pm EST, AT20 was back on OZ FM. Among the regular music, after the dead air, was the first song in the regular music "Wild Night" by John Mellencamp, followed by "It's Good To Be King" by Tom Petty, and other songs from 1994 and 1995? If so, then this is sort of like an "emergency" playlist in case there are problems with what's supposed to be played. They use this "emergency" playlist until the problems are fixed and the network is back on track. They've been doing this since the mid-1990s it seems. The emergency playlist closes off with "I'm The Only One" by Melissa Etheridge, and then they rewind the recording and possibly play it again. I remember they used to go through the full emergency playlist at least once since I first heard it on an evening in 1996. This is every good reason why I really hate OZ-FM greatly. Especially when it was prone to interrupt CT40 and eventually AT40 back in the day.

If you do, make it easier by giving them the link to Premiere's page: premrad.com/shows/view/at40_80s.html
