Does anybody remember AT40's Phone Line? Hum, maybe not. But for those of you who do remember, well, back in 1989, AT40 had their own phone line, where listeners can call a 900 number and listen to the latest entertainment news. I remember Shadoe Stevens said in a promo about the phone line that "if you love the show, and still want more, well, you can call AT40's phone line and hear the latest on your favorite artist". Well, I called the 900 number a few times, and I enjoyed listening to it. Well, one night my dad came home from work and ask me and my sister about the 900 number which appeared on my parents phone bill. I was 16 years old at the time, and I told my dad that I don't know what you are talking about. These 900 numbers on the phone bill. I also told him, that I didn't know where they came from. I didn't know at the time that calling 900 number would appear on the phone bill. Well, a week later, my dad asked me about it again, and I finally confessed that I made those calls. He was just concerned that he would have to pay more money on that phone bill because of the 900 phone calls. As the old saying goes, I can look back at that moment and laugh about it.
