Singer Estelle Bennett has passed away at the age of 67-Bennett,along with her older sister Ronnie & cousin Nedra Talley,had a string of hits thoughout the early to mid-60's as The Ronettes-Beginning in the fall of 1963,they released their breakthrough smash & biggest hit "Be My Baby",which climbed to #2 on the Billboard "Hot 100"-A new generation heard the song in 1987 when it was played over the opening credits of the smash film "Dirty Dancing"-The Ronettes followed up "Be My Baby" with "Baby,I Love You","Do I Love You","The Best Part Of Breaking Up","Walking In The Rain",& "I Can Hear Music"-Those last two songs were remade by Jay & The Americans & The Beach Boys respectively-Phil Spector,who went on to marry Ronnie,oversaw production of all the Ronettes hits-The Ronettes were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2007.
