I've come across a mystery involving a long distance dedication. Perhaps you can help. I'm trying to track down the original LDD (specifically the program date) for a follow-up letter Casey read during the January 24, 1981 program. The follow-up came from a woman in New Zealand -- she thanked Casey for reading her original letter and informed him that she and her husband named their baby "Casey," because of Casey reading her LDD. (Remember this one?) In her letter from 1-24-81, she said Casey originally ("...a couple of years ago...") played Anne Murray's "You Needed Me" for her.
But, in reviewing old AT40 shows, I cannot find the original letter/LDD. I've checked my list of LDDs from September 1978 (and I checked the list on this web site too) and found the song was played as a LDD three times before this letter was read: *9-30-78 (from Sherry in Rochester, New York to a deceased boyfriend) *8-18-79 (from an Alasklan Indian named Donna to a Texan cowboy named David) *10-4-80 (from Jenny in Nevada to friend Jackie) *1-24-81 (letter only; from Tinnie in New Zealand to Calem; they named the baby Casey)
Unless someone can give me another direction, I can only draw two conclusions from this -- either "Tinnie" identified the wrong song in the letter read on 1-24-81, or the letter was a hoax. Help!

Is this 01/24/1981 episode going to be the week's 80s show on the radio?
I apologize if I'm off-topic here Pete.
