I just had a thought-Perhaps Premiere will pick up Mr.Bartley's programs-They've already got Casey Kasem & another radio legend would be a perfect addition to their lineup.

While I've never been a fan of Dick Bartley's programs, I believe he would've been a suitable guest host for Casey's AT40 or CT40 programs. And I've got to believe that, in 1988 while Bartley was working himself into national radio recognition, he submitted his name and credentials as a possible permanent AT40 host. But that's pure speculation on my part.

If I'm not mistaken,it was exactly twenty years ago that Dick Bartley, like Casey, was a Westwood One employee-Bartley hosted "The Rock & Roll Oldies Show",which featured hits from the mid-50's to the early 70's-I wonder if Norm Pattiz or someone from the Westwood One management team approached Bartley about filling in for Casey.

Speaking of Bartley's "Rock & Roll's Greatest Hits," haven't they added to their library by incorporating early 1980s music? I think that during the last couple of weeks, he's started encouraging requests from the early 1980s, but does that mean he's starting to play hits by artists who first made it big in 1980 and later, and 1980s hits by acts who had their biggest success in the 1960s and 1970s?
