... and of course, you'd learn about the Longest Charting Act, the Top Act of 2008, Top Senior Member on YEC, Top Re-release of 2008, Top Soundtrack Hit of 2008, the only foreign language title, Top Newcomer of 2008, Top Selling Single of 2008, the Biggest Selling Rock Song of 2008 and more...
Moreover, the #2 song has one of my most favourites intros used by Casey on his shows :-)
Enjoy.

Sounds like Casey during the early 80s to early 90s where he would give out information on the Top (fill in the blank) for various categories. It's great that he brought back all that data for a YE show again. ;D Thanks for the list, Robert.

I love the #1 revisionists history moment of the year. Jump is somehow the new #1 song of 1984. So if you are keeping count, it has gone from "Say, Say, Say" from 84-88; in 1989 the #1 song of 84 became "When Doves Cry", and now after 19 years of trying, "Jump" finally claims the top.

Well, Jump was #1 R&R song for 1984, so it makes sense since they are using R&R.
How many more years do you all think Casey will be doing the AT20? I don't get to listen to him very often and when I do, I feel my own throat straining as I hear his. He really sounds like he's struggling to even make it through the survey.
It's as if he doesn't even really want to be doing it at all.

Then where did the info of "when doves cry" on the top 40 of 89 being Number 1 for 1984 come from?
To answer your other question, I really think he hangs it up either the last week of June or first week of July, 2010. That marks his 40th year doing the countdowns, the one in which he is most famous for which counted from 40 up. Let's be honest, the numbers say he doesn't make it to 50 on the air. I think he knows that too and rides off into the sunset at 40.

Then where did the info of "when doves cry" on the top 40 of 89 being Number 1 for 1984 come from? "When Doves Cry" was Billboard's #1 of the year (which differed from AT40's yearend chart). So it all depends what source the writing staff at the time decided to use (although why CT40 would've researched Billboard when they were using R&R is beyond me).
