Thanks for the list, laura. I was curious to see how much it deviated from the "official" Mediabase list. It's good to see that they've used four of the six songs (by Jason Mraz, OneRepublic, Kid Rock, and Maroon 5) that bubbled under the Top 30 as extras. My only complaint is that if they were going to use that many, they should have made all their extras as having just missed the Top 30 as well. For instance, "Dreaming With A Broken Heart" by John Mayer could have been played instead. Oh well, it could be worse. We could've ended up with "Every Breath You Take" by the Police.

Well, as long as I listened to several stations carrying the show, many of them seem to drop out the optional extras at the end of the hours but not always the last optional one, that might contribute to placement of different extras, don't know. Anyway, e.g. WNIC played Kid Rock, and John Mayer, but not Ingrid Michaelson. On their weekly shows you hardly hear any optional extras, they seem to sell more local commercials.

One more thing... don't know if you noticed but on this year-end show Casey did something he used to regularly but was not on the weekly shows for long time... he did his liners on 40 years ago, back in 1968, the #1 AC song was... and 30 years ago, the #1 AC song was... who'll have the #1 song of 2008? We're on our way to the answer..." I liked it very much like in the old days.

It appears that Casey used the Mediabase listings for the YE countdown.

It appears that Casey used the Mediabase listings for the YE countdown. Do you mean the official Mediabase YE list? If so, the lists are not exactly the same. The #30 song on AT10 is at #31 on the official Mediabase list. Likewise, Maroon 5's "Make Me Wonder", #28 on the official list, isn't on AT10's Top 30. For the most part though, the charts are somewhat similar.

The station I listened to f'd up the next to last segment. Once #4 started it started playing commercials and eventually took it off. I believe it was a station error, not an internet one.
