Dennis Yost, the lead singer of The Classics IV,has died of respiratory failure at the age of 65-Throughout the late 60's,the group racked up several hit records including "Spooky","Stormy",& "Traces"-The latter song became their biggest hit, peaking at #2 in early 1969-Once the Classics IV disbanded in the early 70's,several of its members formed another group called The Atlanta Rhythm Section-Among their hits was a remake of "Spooky",which reached the top 40 in the fall of 1979.

As far as I know,Dennis Yost wasn't a member of the Atlanta Rhythm Section-In later years,he appeared on the oldies circuit as a solo performer.

I saw him at a concert in the mid-90's-At that time, his voice was totally shot.
