I was just thinking about something. With the economy going down the drain in a bad way, the likes of which those of my generation have never seen, what do you think of the chances of a possible ressurgence in radio show popularity? People are losing their jobs, having to cut expenses in major ways, some of which may include satellite radio, internet service, music online subs, and even cable/satellite. Entertainment for the family may be forced back in many ways to just rabbit eats and the old fashioned radio.
Just curious what others think of this possibilty?

It won't be "rabbit ears" as early next year the all-digital transfer will render them useless (or so the government would have us believe.) The price for many things, such as movies, music, and even cable may come down if the economy gets bad enough. But radio maintained its dominance through the much worse depression of the 1930s, so logically hard-pressed people will turn to it for music and entertainment. Cheap DVD rentals and movie specials would also likely flourish in a bad economy.
