I agree. Mike has really fallen into a nice groove with hosting the show. He really seems to be able to add more of his own personality compared to other guest hosts, it's like he knows someone high up with the show or something The show definitely has a bit of a different, more edgy feel when Mike hosts. And I think that is great, especially for AT20. If only they'd get rid of those "From Hollywood... I'm Casey Kasem" sweeps when Mike hosts. It's like some of those bad Rick Dees guest hosted shows. Casey intros the song, but Mike outros it.

Can they just record "From Hollywood... I'm Mike Kasem". I know He's just the Guest Host. But does it sound better when Mike is on?

Mike did an awesome intro for "Cupid's Chokehold"... just the right sense of humour that makes for an awesome guest host.

Mike did a good job once again. But I have one question: Does Casey has the patent on "notches"? Since even Mike didn't use them. At least not on the first couple of segments in the first hour. This is as far as I have gotten on that show.

I guess everyone has their favorite term. IIRC, on AT40 Shadoe often said "notches" as well, but Ryan Seacrest usually doesn't, generally just saying "up two to #12 this week" or some such.

Mike is hosting again this weekend, October 4th & 5th. It seems as if Casey is taking more time off again. After going years with taking one week a month off, from February 2004 to June 2008, he had only taken 5 weeks off. Since June 2008, he has already taken 3 weeks off. I wonder if Casey is transitioning back into taking one week a month off.

There is no LDD in AT20 or AT10. On AT20 at least, Mike does a "Music News" type segment in place of the LDD.
