As some of you may know (and fewer of you care), Clearchannel/Premiere has embarked on the next phase of their stealth plan of nationalizing everyone of their channels. "On Air w/Ryan Seacrest" debuted nationally a couple of weeks ago on I believe more than 50 stations, including one here in North Florida. This, in addition to shows like After Midnight, The Blair Garner Show, and John Tesh's show.
Now, here are my questions. For these shows like On Air and John Tesh which can apparently run any time within a certain time frame, I know they are not live. When are they recorded? Does a station have the ability to carry the show "live" if they choose to run it at that time? Is the music on these shows done nationally on the show, or locally by the stations? I am just curious as to how this is accomplished if anyone knows.

Here in Southwestern Connecticut, the local AC station WEBE108 airs "The John Tesh Show" Sunday through Friday-The show may very well be pre-recorded-I'm pretty sure that WEBE handles the music on their end.
