Looks like the 90's channel did a November 1991 show today.

Don't understand why they're editing the shows like that. Guess it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend, the first with the "merged" decades channels.

Maybe they are wanting to give some facade that there are no commercial breaks also.

This morning's show is the November 19, 1988 show. Rather oddly, I have the cue sheets, but not the show itself.

The 90s show this week is 10/31-11/1/98. (It's one of three countdowns I'm juggling on the computer right now--Casey 70s, Dees 90s, and Seacrest today.)

Does the Rick Dees show EVER repeat?
There are so many times I wish I had recorded it, or catch it too late, or it's on during another program (AT40) that I'm recording.
Any help would be appreciated!
Mark

The Dees shows do not repeat. Saturday 9am est, WT40 9-12:15 80s on 8. (80s) Saturday noon est, AT40 12-2:30 OR 3/3:15 70s on 7. (70s) Sunday 9am est, AT40 9-noonish 70s on 7. (70s) Sunday 9am est, WT40 9-12:15 90s on 9. (90s) Sunday noon est, AT40 12-3:15 80s on 8. (80s) Sunday 8pm est, AT40 8-11:15 80s on 8 (80s) Sunday 9pm est, WT40 9-12:15am XM 30 (current)
Those are the only broadcasts. At least you can record MOST of the airings, w/ the only exception being the 1st 15 mins of the 70s countdown on saturday (while you wait for Rick to end). Obviously if you live on the west coast, you've gottta get up kinda early. Heck I grumble about getting up at 9am on both Sat & sun. Weekends should be for sleeping in!! I do record the shows, as others do also, so if you desperatly need a show, contact me. Most of the shows I record onto cassette though.

At40 apparently repeats on the 70's show again at midnight Sunday night/Monday morning also.

Looks like 11/15/1992 on 90's this week. Another one I have a copy of in my collection.

By the way, the sure shot on 11/15/92 would enter WT40 and CT40 (assuming that WT40 and CT40 were both a week behind the RR chart of the same date) at #23 on the following week and three weeks after being a WT40 sure shot, the song would be #1. Wonder if this was the shortest time a song took to reach #1 on either WT40 or CT40 (2 weeks after debut)

Surprisingly, he got his facts right that time

Rick did mention his upcoming special during this show, "Remakes of the 80's" which aired the following week. I remember hearing that show. It was actually something like the "Top 40 Remakes and Requests", since there were a few current songs on there that were not remakes. The #1 song was "Groovy Kind Of Love", which was appropriate, because it was both a remake and, since it had just recently hit #1, a request. I seem to remember that the show opened up with his new song "Two Hearts" in place of the Sure Shot. Rick was sort of dropping a subtle hint as to what would be #1 (instead of spilling the beans early in the show that "there was a new #1 song")
