Next to CC shows from 1995, the 2 AC shows without Casey's name must be extremely rare. I do have the CHR ("Top 40 Countdown") shows for those weeks but neither of the AC or HAC. (" The Countdown" or "The Hot 20")

Duke, Vince (or anyone who's privy to this information): Has anyone figured out the methodology that AT40 used to compile its Top 50 of the 1970s? If so, please let me know so I can use that as a possible method to compile my Class of 1982 charts.
Right now I'm working on coming up with a chart based on the 1970s chart model (#100-1 pt.....#1-100pts plus 100 bonus points per week), but I'm also going to come up with charts based on 1980, 1981, and possibly 1982 models as Vince posted earlier. I'm gathering chart data and am up to Feb 1980 now.

I always thought "Livin It Up" by Bell and James (one of the songs from the 3/17/79 show played by Premiere this week) sounded like a Kool and the Gang song. That was further underscored when I found that one of the members of Kool and the Gang was Robert "Kool" Bell, leading me to believe that he was part of Bell and James or was related to the Bell.

Boyz II Men's song "Thank You" was on the charts in 1992.

Those who are having trouble with the Ultimate database may want to try it through www.archive.org. That way you could probably search a past copy--may not be helpful for those interested in the current chart--but may help with earlier charts. BTW: Still working on the Class of 1982 chart project, now working on the Nov 1979 charts. Will keep you updated.

Although others may think differently, I don't like it at all that someone posted that list. I know that I always enjoyed checking in to find out the upcoming week's shows and seeing others guess what they may be. Now, since everything's known (assuming that Premiere doesn't make changes--which they do have the right to do.) those days are over.

WMC FM 100 in Memphis carried CT40 from 1989 through 1992 (they counted down CT40's Top 100 of 1991 but one year later they counted down Rick Dees's Weekly Top 40's Top 100 of 1992). Apparently, FM 100 carried Casey's Countdown for a short period of time in 1993 or 1994. At some point in 1996 or 1997, WHBQ 107.5 picked up Casey's Top 40 and carried AT40 through Casey's return and replacement by Ryan.
There's also a smaller station from Paris TN that seems to have carried CT40 throughout its entire life (Paris is approximately 100 miles north of Memphis). I never heard it there but I remember Casey mentioning it several times.

Remember, though, that Jdelach and others who give this information are doing so as a service to their fellow fans. We need to show our appreciation of them for doing this. Just think, if it wasn't for them we'd have to wait until the show actually was broadcast to know what show it would be. Same with the optional extras.

Working on a top songs of the Class of 1982, I've come across some songs that might have done better if they had been released later:
Love Is The Answer-England Dan and John Ford Coley (Peaked in May 1979 at #10) and Dependin On You-Doobie Brothers (Peaked in October 1979 at #25) should have been released a year later after disco had become much less dominant.

Would have been better if 90s on 9 broadcast Rick Dees or Casey's Top 40. They did have Rick Dees for a short time before and just after the merger. As for Casey's Top 40, they either think Casey's not cool enough for 90s on 9, don't want to spend the money, can't obtain the show, or some other reason known only to SXM management.

The Internet radio service, Radioio (http://www.radioio.com) has a station "Billboard Hot 100" that plays songs from the Hot 100, don't know if it's a countdown or not? SXM's 90s on 9 has a "Back In the Day" countdown that uses the Hot 100 for a given week in the 1990s, so if you check these out, you could get some idea how a Hot 100 based countdown would have sounded after Nov 23, 1991.

This will be the first time that 3/01/80 has been rebroadcast on either satellite or terrestrial radio.

If you need help with Czech, send me a pm. I can probably find you a translator. I can read Russian---used it as my language requirement for my doctorate. Russian departments usually know someone who can translate other Slavic languages (Polish, Czech, Serbo-Croatian, Bulgarian, etc.)

For me, there are two (both of which happened after Casey's return to AT40 in 1998)
Jul 3, 1999 when Casey announced at the beginning that "this July 4th weekend begins our 30th year of counting down the hits from coast to coast" and proceeded to compare how AT40 sounded on July 4 1970 including the beginning of "End of Our Road" as the first song counted down and how it sounded in 1999. Although Casey had celebrated this anniversary on the July 1 1989 Casey's Top 40 show by saying this weekend "begins our 20th year", the 1999 show was more in depth. In short, notwithstanding the fact that Shadoe had hosted AT40 from Aug 1988 to Jan 1995 and AT40 had been off the air for over 3 years afterward, this was the most direct statement of Casey's history with AT40 as AMFM wanted listeners to understand it.
May 13 2000--Just after playing "I Wanna Know" by Joe in the first hour, Casey discussed Rob's book for the second time and explained what the book covered (a shorter mention with a description of how those interested could obtain a copy was given on the Dec 18, 1999 show's first hour). In the description, Casey mentioned Shadoe as a past AT40 host.

I've put together a master list indicating each show and whether or not it has been rebroadcast, by whom (terrestrial or satellite radio), when and the #1 song on the show. I cannot post it here because it's in table format and shows up all garbled and confusing. But if you want a copy, please send me a pm with your email address and I'll send it to you. I'd also like some of you to check it against your lists and see if there are any errors.
