I’m trying to determine info for most of the national radio countdowns that aired (specifically what years each ran, and which chart was used for the countdown). I used the Charis Music site and Wikipedia as a basis (and some googling). Can anyone help fill in the blanks (and correct any wrong info)?
* rebirth of AT40 (CHR) (after Shadoe) - 1998 to what year? - R&R (which chart?) through 2009; then mediabase Mainstream top 40
* AT40 (Hot AC) - 2004 to what year? - R&R (Hot AC chart, I assume. Correct?)

AT40's 2nd run with Casey was March 28, 1998 to January 3, 2004. That used the R&R chart except for the period October 2000 - August 2001 when they used an unpublished Mediabase chart. Ryan's AT40 uses an in-house Mediabase chart and has run since December 4, 2004.

Thanks guys. Does anyone know the info regarding this countdown hosted by Casey in the later years:

Ryan Seacrest began hosting the Hot AC version of AT40 in December 2004, I think, and is still ongoing today. Casey still had his AT20 Hot AC countdown through 7/4/2009, so for four and a half years, both Casey and Ryan had HAC countdowns.

Interesting. In the 4 years they overlapped, did both Ryan and Casey use R&R's Hot AC chart as their basis (essentially counting down the same songs in the same order?)

No, Ryan used a custom in house Mediabase list while Casey used R&R until they were bought out and then the official Mediabase HAC chart.

Thanks. Did Casey's "AT40 (Hot AC)" start at the same time as his AT40 (CHR), 3/28/98, and did it end when his CHR countdown ended (1/3/04?)

Thanks. Did Casey's "AT40 (Hot AC)" start at the same time as his AT40 (CHR), 3/28/98, and did it end when his CHR countdown ended (1/3/04?) Casey's Hot AC show was just a Top 20 (so, AT20), and it ran from 3/28/98 until 7/4/09 (same timeframe as his AC show).

Also, with the reboot (or rebirth, as the thread title is listed) in 1998, in addition to AT40, there were TWO shows called American Top 20 (AT20), one being Hot AC (HAC, formerly Casey's Hot 20) and AC (adult contemporary, formerly Casey's Countdown).

The AT20 AC would become American Top 10 AC in Spring 2004.

Thanks for the info and the correction. And didn't AT20 (AC) get reduced to AT10 around 3/27/04 and last until 7/4/09?
And didn't the Hot AC and AT40 (CHR) all end on the same day as AT10?

AT20 AC became AT10 on 3/20/2004, and ran through 7/4/2009. AT20 HAC also ended then. AT40 CHR is still going, with Ryan Seacrest hosting; he took over for Casey on 1/10/2004.
