Wow just when we thought the Beatles vs. Stones debate had long been settled (consensus)...I guess tortoises sometimes catch up to hares. It ain't over till it's over.

Care to share with the class just what this refers to rather than engaging in so much vaguebooking?

Care to share with the class just what this refers to rather than engaging in so much vaguebooking? Okay so - (Internet slang, intransitive) To post deliberately cryptic statements on social media (particularly Facebook) so as to elicit attention or requests for detail. Personally, I don't pursue requests for detail - but "to elicit attention?" Which posts by any of us are not attempts to elicit attention? That's part of the fun. So I don't understand why trying to elicit attention is apparently a negative thing, in and of itself. It's not the only reason we come here but it is one of them, at least for many of us? But I do get and appreciate the issue with being cryptic and I will try better to avoid doing that. It can be a thin line sometimes, I think, between being cryptic - or - including too much obvious information that the readers are assumed to already know. The first choice causes frustration and the second choice causes yawns.

I didn't know the Stones had been on hiatus when it comes to releasing albums. First album of new material since 2005's "A Bigger Bang". They did release an album of blurs covers, "Blue and Lonesome", in December 2016. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rolling_Stones_discography

According to a conversation with Jimmy Fallon in London´s Hackney district, "Hackney Diamonds" will be released on 10/20/23.
They recorded the album "relatively quickly", said Ron Wood. Asked about the long wait, Mick Jagger joked, "We´re just lazy." Addendum: "We´ve done quite a bit in between, too, we´ve been on tour."
On "Hackney Diamond" there will be 2 songs among the 12 tracks that were still recorded with Charlie Watts. He is missed, and without his blessing "everything would be more difficult," Richards said. "And we invited Bill Wyman into the studio. So the original rhythm section of the Rolling Stones is on the album," Jagger said.
Long rumored, reports kept leaking out in recent years that the band was in the studio. In 12/2016, Jagger and Co. released the studio effort "Blue & Lonesome," for which they covered 12 blues songs. The album was traded as a "warm-up exercise" for the next production with own songs.

Bing hit with Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy about 50 years into his career. Well it was on TV anyway. Maybe 60 is the new 50.
