Queen Of Rock N' Roll?
Based on what?
But then I tried to think of who it really should be.
Brenda Lee? Connie Francis? Ronnie Spector? Diana Ross?
So maybe, by default...

I'm assuming you're talking about the late Tina Turner?
Anyway, VH-1 did a countdown of the Top 100 Women of Rock and Roll back in 1999 and Aretha Franklin made the top of that list.
They did an updated version about ten years later but that list was just crap.

Yes, Tina Turner. Well, yes, Aretha IMO would be better but somehow she is disqualified because she can't be queen of two genres? I don't know. And God bless Tina Turner and rest in peace, but until 1984 she really didn't do much in terms of recordings people listened to and from 1984-on Madonna and Whitney Houston dwarfed what she did. Even Phil Spector failed big-time with Tina Turner. That doesn't sound to me like a Queen of Rock and Roll. Queen of Survivors, Queen of Strong Women, sure, but Queen of Rock and Roll?

I felt the same about Whitney being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Pop, yes. Rock and Roll, though?
And how would Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, or Debbie Harry compare to Tina?

Besides Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar as jlthorpe suggested, I would also include Ann Wilson from Heart and Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders for Queen of Rock & Roll (with Stevie and Pat being at the top of the list). Writers who have studied this genre online seem to place Stevie at the top of their lists but Tina Turner makes many writers' Top 5 or Top 10 list. For whatever reason, I don't think of Tina Turner as a rock artist. My then local rock station didn't play any Tina Turner songs from "Private Dancer" back in the day so maybe that's why.

What if the late Tina Turner tried to compete with the Queen of Soul (Aretha Franklin) and the Queen of Disco (Donna Summer)?

I’d argue that her live performances made her the Queen of Rock and Roll. The level of energy she put forth into giving the people a show was unparalleled.
So yes, she gets my vote for Queen of Rock n Roll.

For Rock, I'd say Stevie Nicks. For Rock and Roll, Brenda Lee. And of course Donna Summer for Disco. But IMO Aretha Franklin deserves Empress of Soul, to acknowledge her superiority.
