Barry Manilow merrily sings about "Daybreak", while Gordon Lightfoot moodily opines about "Sundown".

In the Red Corner. weighing 120 pounds, singing Take The Short Way Home, DIONNNNNNNE WARRRRRRWICK! In the BLUE Corner, with the THIRD hit from their LP Burrrreakfast In America....SUUUUUUUU-PERRRR-TRAMP! What other fights might be on this card? What many people don't know is that Dionne Warwick had originally planned a concept LP, quite a departure for her, which was to include songs such as Lunch in the Soviet Union, One of Multiple Illogical Songs, Hello Familiar Person, and Take a Lot. Not sure what her issue was, but whatever... (she's known for following social media, so Dionne if you see this it's just me being silly none of this is true - I love your songs)

I believe the album was going to be called "Even in the Loudest Weeks." No wonder it got shelved. Dionne's not a loud singer.

Wham "Careless Whisper" vs Tears for Fears "Shout" I think it should be Wham's Careless Whisper vs. James Brown--Talking Loud and Saying Nothing (should be subtitled The Politicians Song).

And it's a good thing she shelved the project, because Supertramp was getting ready to record the answer song "Messages to Connie, Sonny and Fredo", with the B Side "Stop Walking and Ask Me Why I'm Crying". Realist. I LOLed.

Also "The Theme from Mountain of the Tonka Toys", and the title song from the Broadway musical "Lack of Commitment, Lack of Commitment" They also considered holding the Spinners partially responsible for her career success, and were going to record a song called "The Paper Clip Woman".
