If I'm understanding the concept of 'opposing' song titles correctly, there may be a few battles here...
*Aretha Franklin's "I'm In Love" and 10cc's "I'm Not In Love" *Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" and Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue" *Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" and Warren Zevon's "Werewolves Of London"

One of my favorite ones was from the same CT show I just listened to from April of 1992: Cece Pennnnniston and "We Got A Love Thang" vs. Geoffrey Williams and "It's Not A Love Thing". (I had to misspell Cece's last name on purpose or she would have become Thingyston)

I remember Madonna's "Rain" and Blind Melon's "No Rain" both forecasting opposite weather at the same time in 1993.

Speaking of rain...
"Who'll Stop the Rain" CCR vs. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" CCR.
And then there's the ultimate dueling songs:
"Stairway to Heaven" Led Zep. vs "Highway to Hell" AC/DC

From this week in 1988.
Gloria Estefan though Heart was being unfair with Nothin' at All and reassured you that she would give Anything.
Cher wanted Paul Anka and Odia Coates to be aware that We All Sleep Alone, so get over it.
Peter Cetera was listening to one of his Donny Osmond albums and after hearing Why came up with a good reason.

Lionel Richie with Hello while Roger Whitaker pines it's the Last Farewell (of course the Beatles are indecisive--Hello Goodbye).
