What song that just missed the Top 40 almost became one of two 1984 Top 40 hits about the Three Stooges?

Okay 50 views so here's a clue. This one was about Moe.

Looking at Joel Whitburn's Pop Annual. Is it "Rebel Yell" ("In the midnight hour she cried Moe, Moe, Moe")?

Maybe the girl thought that Curly was getting way too much credit from the other song. All we needed for a trifecta was a remake of Float On. And then something by Shemp and the Limelites.

All we needed for a trifecta was a remake of Float On. A 'fine' remake it would be, I'm sure...

Moe music, moe problems...wait, that's 1997-1998 by Nortorius B.I.G.! And Phil Collins was obviously not a Stooges fan, with his "NO MOE!, NO MOE!...NO MOE!, NO MOE!"

And then, a few years later, we had Jeffery Osborne's homage to Curly: "The Woo-Woo Song (AKA You Should Be Mine).

And Phil Collins was obviously not a Stooges fan, with his "NO MOE!, NO MOE!...NO MOE!, NO MOE!" Oh yeah. "I Don't Care Any Moe." When I hear that song on SiriusXM Classic Rewind, all I can think of is three weeks at #39.

If only Gregory Abbott and Elvis Costello had been in the Top 40 at the same time, we could have anticipated each week's show, wondering who would be on first.
