Liebe Freunde,
About two days ago, in the Chart Critiques section, I mentioned that my Family was enduring a crisis. I will talk about it now.
I had a Sister who, in a large portion of her life, had been sick from Diabetes. In her early 20s she was diagnosed with this disease. However, she fought it with the greatest strength and determination. Even when it flared up, she fought back to live another day.
The last Week, she was admitted into the Hospital because she was in pain. Her situation remained somewhat stable, until Sunday, when she took a turn for the worse. We felt that nothing more could be done, and on Thursday, we made a very hard decision to send her into Hospice. Although her condition was somewhat similar, it was very hard to see and hear her in so much pain. On Friday, when we visited, I had to leave the room after suffering a panic attack and crying. On Saturday morning, we were informed by the hospice Officials that she was going away. As they gave her Medicine to comfort her, all of us traveled there to surround her. She died peacefully, at around 12:00 in the Afternoon.
As I write this, I am filled with much sadness. On one hand, she is suffering no longer, and is finally at Peace. However, it all seems to be a dream from which I shall wake up. I know that it is real, but the reality has perhaps not caught up with me.
I want to thank those who sent to me their best Wishes and prayers. All have been supportive. I have told my Mother about the support that I have received from here.
Thank you,
Jamie
