Pat Torpey, drummer and founding member of Mr. Big passed away February 7 at the age of 64. He had been suffering from Parkinson's disease. After graduation from high school, Pat moved to Los Angeles from Cleveland and became the house drummer for American Bandstand and Solid Gold television shows. He also drummed for John Parr and Belinda Carlisle. He joined the Knack, but at the same time he went on the road with Robert Plant drumming for his "Now And Zen" tour. During this period he met Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert who were searching for a drummer for their new band. Mr. Big would have 3 Top 40 hits in the 90s and would remain together until calling it quits in 2002. They would reunite in 2009, but Parkinson's Disease would cause Pat to stop touring during the summer of 2014. He would remain as a percussionist and drum producer with the band until his passing. Honoring Pat with the band's chart topper from 1991. To Be With You - Mr. BigObituary
