The flu epidemic sweeping the nation claimed the life of Reese "Buzz" Clifford. He passed away Friday, January 26 at the age of 76. Buzz made a minor dent in the late 60s, writing the great "Echo Park". Keith Barbour's version peaked at the lowest rung of the Top 40 in 1969. Buzz himself was a one-hit wonder. His only Top 40 hit was a big one, spending three weeks in the Top 10 and peaking at #6 in 1961. Baby Sittin' Boogie - Buzz Clifford

Buzz Clifford was featured on one of the "Disappearing Acts Of The Rock Era" specials that "AT40" did in the 70's.

Indeed - it was the 7/7/1973 episode he was featured in.

Although most novelty songs wear thin after just a short while, I always thought that 'Baby Sittin' Boogie' was pretty clever. Maybe because everyone in my family joked I broke several record players as a youngster.
Thanks for sharing.
