Time frame with most CHR shows

I was looking back at around this time time in 1986, and it seemed that it was the heyday for the countdown show from a CHR standpoint. On any given weekend, you could hear some variation of a CHR countdown from at least these nationally syndicated shows:

American Top 40

Rick Dees Weekly Top 40

Top 40 Satellite Survey

Scott Shannon's Rockin' America Top 30 Countdown

Countdown America with Dick Clark

Countdown USA with John Leader

As far as I know, six different nationally syndicated shows dedicated to playing CHR. Am I missing any, or is there another time frame that has had that many syndicated CHR countdown shows?

It really shows you a big underlying dynamic as Casey and ABC were gearing up to negotiate his contract. From his standpoint (and rightfully so) he was first, he was the biggest, and he was the best. From ABC's perspective: if other shows can be syndicated, why do we have to give so much money to make Casey "the man". If he was so good, why could others get in on his turf?

Two things:

1) What sources did these other countdowns use? We know AT40 used Billboard and Rick Dees (and later CT40) used R&R, what about the others?

2) Lee Michael Weathers's AT40 page (leemichaelwithers.tripod.com/americantop40.htm) has a comment that also speaks to the situation quite well:

Added to this was a glut of up and coming new countdown shows both on the national and local level. Gone were the days where a local countdown show was a "poor imitation AT40" show. These local shows could be as slick productionwise as the national ones.

If anything, that probably goes hand-in-hand with what ABC's perspective would have been, assuming that what you're saying is in fact how it all went down.

Don't forget in 1990-1991 besides CHR syndicated countdown shows AT40 w/Shadoe Stevens, Casey's Top 40 with Casey Kasem, Rick Dees Weekly Top 40, and Scott Shannon's Top 30 Countdown (Dick Clark's Countdown America was AC and not CHR), there was the lasting a year and 1/4 Dave Sholin's Insider Top 40/Top 30.
