I discovered The Fox Fun Xicting Oldies website. They were playing every American Top 40 with Casey Kasem in order from 1970 -1988 Mondays to Fridays 10am to 1am and 10 pm to 1am. central time When i started listening American Top 40 were up to very early 1976 but last friday the website took down American Top 40 Lego and took everything down that mention Casey on their Facebook page. I posted a message on their website to asked what happened to the American Top 40 if it was still airing and the message i got was "We Cannot Comment on the show. On Facebook someone asked and got a answer "Only airing in the mornings now staring tomorrow ' which i saw on Saturday. Then a half hour ago that message disappered off of Facebook

They were one of many stations who had illegally obtained the shows and were broadcasting them without a contract from Premiere Networks. Only stations who are airing the AT40 the 70s and/or AT40 the 80s packages through Premiere are licensed to air the show. Any other station that happens to have copies of old shows and chooses to air them, such as The Fox, risks serious legal trouble. They are wise to pull the shows and not comment.

Looks like AT40 here is no more, the proprietor, Sam, announced this morning. It was good while it lasted but it sounds like they were told they can only broadcast the same offering as everyone else from now on and being a 'Net only station with limited resources, it doesn't sound like that is an option, at least for the time being.
I feel sorry for Fox because this is apparently going to impact the rest of their programming as well which is really good if you like oldies/rarities many that don't get played elsewhere anymore.

I found myself listening to quite a bit of Fox Oldies - Sam plays a great mix of songs. I will miss the weekday shows - not sure what I'll play during workday! Best Wishes, Sam - I will listen as long as you are on and looking forward to AMC 1977.

^I think you mean 1976. 1977 aired earlier this year.

Good while it lasted indeed. Of course, as of early October, I was no longer able to listen to the entire show, since they switched my hours at work to morning instead of late afternoon/evening, and since they were up to late 1987/early 1988, which IMO was a weak period in music (plus, AT40: The 80s is up to about that point in the year anyway), I only briefly tuned in. I'll probably be listening to the station anyway, since they have a vast array of music, including obscure songs that virtually no radio stations play anymore.

I think the station is well worth the listen based on variety alone. You hear songs that hardly get any airplay on any other stations. And the AMC presentations are icing on the cake. (1976 and 1984 will be the next two to air.)

(1976 and 1984 will be the next two to air.) Last time Sam mentioned the next few AMC shows, it sounded like he is planning on staying in the 70's for a while. So while the next one should for sure be 1976, AMCs after that may be 1975, '74, etc. I guess time will tell...

AMC 1982 is currently running Monday Through Friday at 10am central til 12 noon. It will continue through 83 and then hopefully start back up with the debut of AMC 1976 and then play all the way through to 83 once again every weekday

Just an FYI, they are now doing their own in house countdown for random years on Wednesday mornings. It not Casey, but it's not bad. It sure beats what we get from the SXM 80s Interns every week. Right now they are airing this week in 1985. s45.myradiostream.com:4000Upcoming schedule: May 1st – 5-4-1985 May 8th – 5-8-1982 May 15th – 5-18-1968 May 22nd – 5-18-1974 May 29th – 5-26-1990 I believe it's also a Top 50, so you get 10 bonus songs at the beginning, which is nice.
