The vast majority of the time this hit was heard by fathers on Father's Day, they didn't hear it on the radio.

"Love's Theme" by Barry White & the Love Unlimited Orchestra? That was used for much of the 1970s-90s by ABC for its golf coverage, and the US Open usually ends on Father's Day.

I seem to remember “With Arms Wide Open” by Creed being played as an LDD on AT10/AT20 which was a song from a father to his son.
