This is the last week for including two songs per week for the month of August. All I can say is it's something I'd definitely do again in the future.
From this week in 2009, it's a song by a British acid house musician that was originally released in 1989, but was re-released as a remix by this artist's new group almost twenty years later. It was at #3 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, after having reached #1 in May. Here's "Infinity 2008" by the Guru Josh Project.

From 2008, it's a song released this week that was a parody of a hit by T.I., which was currently at #1 on the Hot 100 that week, and is so far the only parody by this artist to have the exact same title as the original hit. The song parodies the concept of the T.I. song by having the singer give his girlfriend cheap gifts due to the economic recession at the time, and reached #104 on Billboard's Bubbling Under chart later that same month. Here's "Whatever You Like" by "Weird Al" Yankovic.
